Digital Marketing

Based primarily in Head Office, in High Wycombe, the successful candidate will help shape and drive all aspects of digital marketing, focussing particularly on email marketing and PPC. The role requires a strong analytical background, solid experience in email campaign planning, CRM and digital marketing, and proven commercial experience of working in a fast paced environment on large digital accounts.

Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to drive all areas of digital marketing in accordance with the overall Marketing and Ecommerce strategy with a focus on customer acquisition and retention through the various digital channels.

Marketing Strategy:

  • Work alongside the Head of Marketing to plan strategic digital activity for key campaign periods of the year
  • Devise shorter tactical campaigns around new store openings, social media campaigns and PR initiatives
  • Propose digital marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness and sales
  • Analyse both competitors and innovators on digital marketing activities online
  • Identify and monitor industry trends
  • Document key trade periods (SALE, Christmas, Season Launch) across the industry and reporting on findings

Digital Marketing:

  • Manage the day to day PPC agency relationship
  • Ensure that the brand continues to maintain a strong digital presence through solid PPC
  • Day to day running of the Bing and international Google PPC campaigns
  • Manage the PPC budget in line with ROI targets
  • Report on relative successes of the PPC, remarketing and display campaigns run both through agencies and in house, making recommendations for future activity
  • Devise campaigns for PPC and Affiliate activity in accordance with the seasonal Content Planner
  • Manage the day to day Affiliate agency relationship
  • Drive and manage the affiliate program, seeking out relevant affiliates, build and maintain strong relationships with new and prospective affiliate partners providing content for campaigns, negotiating with affiliates for coverage, and reviewing and analysing the campaigns
  • Identify new partnership and affiliate opportunities via digital channels
  • Track and report results, making recommendations for the program
  • Maintaining and developing a strong ongoing relationship with Google account management
  • Seek out online marketing opportunities to raise brand awareness, drive traffic to the website and contribute names to the database
  • Drive Social media acquisition campaigns in tandem with the Social Media Coordinator reporting on relative successes
  • Keep abreast of innovation and industry trends

CRM:

  • Forecasting quarterly email plans in reference to data segments, key trading periods and previous season’s results
  • Own email results report for each quarter, tracking and monitoring campaigns as they happen, reporting on successes and failures, making suggestions on the back of these learnings, projecting further email results and revenues
  • Put together testing schedules for email sends by data segmentation, content, time of send etc. with view to maximising successes of campaigns
  • Report weekly on relative successes of campaigns, like for like comparisons and previous years’ activities, making recommendations for future campaigns
  • Manage data segmentation for all email sends
  • Monitor opt-in rate, VIPS, actives and lapsed customers with clear direction on activities to drive these forward
  • Deliver customer acquisition, conversion and retention across integrated digital marketing campaigns
  • Execute the CRM campaign strategy across a range of channels - email, mobile communications, social media, and display
  • Present accurate and insightful reporting and analytics on all CRM activity

Content Planning:

  • Ensure that the brand continues to maintain a strong digital presence through solid SEO
  • Manage the SEO strategy including link building, keyword research, onsite SEO, and reporting
  • Work with Design team to ensure that all assets for digital campaigns are delivered on brand, and fit for the campaign
  • Work with Ecommerce team to develop and grow a mobile app strategy
  • Sit on Content panels and contribute ideas, initiatives and feedback at brainstorming sessions
