The Bright Lip
A bright lip is a summer essential, bringing a gorgeous summer vibrancy to your look, minimal effort required.
But, with those extra hours of sunshine, swimming and exploring, how do you keep your lippie on for even longer? Try using a stain as a base for longer lasting lips. Not only will this reduce the amount of times you’ll have to top up with lipstick, but it will also give you an even better depth of colour.
If you want an extra fullness to your pout (and let’s face it, who doesn’t?) try patting concealer on the centre of the lip as a base.
For a lighter and dewier look, swap your go-to foundation out for a more breathable tinted moisturiser.
As the sun heats up, sometimes your normal foundation can feel a little heavy, so a tinted moisturiser is the perfect alternative, giving gorgeous sheer coverage without covering up your glow. It will also feel more wearable under the heat.
If you don’t want to invest in a whole new product try mixing your foundation or concealer with moisturiser for a lighter coverage during hotter months and apply with fingers for the lightest coverage and maximum glow.
Highlighter: possibly our biggest ally when it comes to summer makeup, giving a fresh summer look, with minimal effort required.
Try layering different shades of highlighters for more dimension, focusing on the top of your cheek bones, brow line and the center of your nose.
Use a gold tone highlighter all over face as an alternative to bronzer and for a gorgeous glowing evening look try mixing the highlighter with your foundation or use as the base before applying.
When lighter makeup is your mission, great eyebrows are a must, framing your face and highlighting your bone structure.
Tinting brows is a must for me, naturally giving a fuller and more youthful look and reducing the need for lots of product. Make sure to find your perfect colour, testing on a few hairs before going all out. Finish with a brow gel for eyebrows that will look great all day.
