From two-piece suits to co-ords (and even matchy-matchy accessories) co-ordinating your outfit is a key trend for 2019. See how our Buying Director, PR Manager and Trading Director all road-tested the look at MVHQ this week.
THE LEATHER CO-ORD – HARRI, BUYING DIRECTOR
Our Buying Director Harri puts a fresh spin on leather jackets by pairing this cropped style with a matching midi-pencil skirt.
“This is a non-traditional suit but I love the warm tan leather colour. It needs dressing down with a simple tee, otherwise it feels too formal. Snake heels add a bit of texture – plus, I need the height. Each piece is so versatile; my favourite is the jacket, which is the perfect length to throw over a dress.”
THE TWO-PIECE SUIT – LAURA, TRADING DIRECTOR
A red suit is perfect for a diary packed full of meetings, elevated with ankle boots and layered jewellery.
“When you choose a colour pop like this red suit, the rest of the styling can be so simple. Just a plain tee and trainers. Nothing else is needed!”
THE SNAKE-PRINT DUO – YASU, PR MANAGER
Yasu’s style is always laidback, so she styles our Sasha suit with trainers for a more relaxed look, with a lightweight funnel neck tee beneath it.
“I always opt for trainers day to day, so I’ve dressed the suit down with them for a more casual feel; I also love wearing the snake-print trousers with a chunky knit.”
