Spring has finally sprung, which has us feeling light, uplifted and energised. We’ll be updating our wardrobes with looks fit for sunshine-filled days, and getting outside with a good book. Discover our March edit of things to wear and do this month.
We’ll be wearing: Jeans & a nice top. The iconic duo can be revived from the depths of our wardrobes now that jumpers are no longer mandatory (thank you, spring sunshine). Add to your selection with the season’s key trends: second-skin knitted tees, bohemian cold-shoulder styles or flatteringly fitted jersey vests.
We’ll be turning out the lights: Between 8.30-9.30pm in honour of Earth Hour on 30th March. Do the same, and switch to candlelight, to join others in raising awareness of climate change and the natural world.
We’ll be reading: Spring, by Ali Smith. Well, we will be soon, when it’s released at the end of the month. The hotly anticipated novel from the author of Autumn and Winter, Spring captures the energy, vitality and new beginnings associated with the season so beautifully and poetically.
Published 24th March by Penguin
We’ll be celebrating: Women! With International Women’s Day on the 8th, and Mother’s Day on the 31st, it’s the perfect excuse to gather your girlfriends, mother, sisters and anything in between together to celebrate the future as females. Show your support with this season’s Mint Velvet x Women for Women International charity knit available from 8th March and #Shareyourheart with our campaign.
We’ll be scrolling: through our very own founder, Jane Rawlings’ Instagram. Find her at @janeyoaks to get behind-the-scenes MV inspiration – from style tips to brand-new collection ideas – straight from her feed.
