Top Tips for the Year of You

Welcoming the busy new year with open arms, we can’t wait to look after ourselves in 2018 so that we can enjoy our best year yet.

To ensure that we are doing this right, nutritional therapist and mindfulness expert Sally Nash from EnergiseYou has given us some top tips on how we can embrace being our best self, and ensure our health is in tip top shape.

 

 

1. EAT MORE VEG

By simply adding a larger variety of vegetables to our meals, we’re fuelling our bodies with minerals and goodness that will ensure we’re in the right frame of mind (both physically and mentally) to tackle the year ahead.

2. TAKE TIME TO PAUSE

We will all encounter moments of intense pressure and stress, but the key is to pause in these moments and take 3 deep breaths. This will enable us to deal with the situation and focus our attention on the situation at hand with a calmer approach.

3. STAY CONNECTED

The use of technology in this digital age can be quite overwhelming. If we make a conscious effort to spend time with each other instead of making phone call when possible, we will enjoy a more personal connection.

4. TAKE 10 MINUTES

Doing this does not make us selfish, it is essential to wind down and have a short break from what we are doing to sharpen our focus.

5. MOVE AROUND MORE

Forget joining a gym, even if we just walk around more when speaking on our mobile phone, this keeps our body active and alert.
