Festival season is upon us and whether you’re dancing all night and sleeping all day, getting your fill of debates and book readings, or going all out at a gastronomic experience (check out our guide to the best festivals this summer), you need the right outfit. Here’s what we’re wearing.
Eating, Drinking & Being Merry!
Walking from stall to stall tasting culinary delights is hard work, so we’re opting for some sensible boots paired with our trusty denim shorts (or swap for jeans if the weather isn’t playing ball). Add some fun to your look with a playful colourful top (a striped cami looks great) and top off with your favourite accessories – we can’t get enough of statement earrings this summer! You’ll need a bag that is glamorous and practical, so try a cross body bag in a striking print or metallic finish. And, the British summertime can be unpredictable at best, so pack a lightweight jacket just in case.
Dancing Till You Drop
If you’re planning on kicking up some dust dancing to your favourite tunes (with an obligatory glass of cider / Aperol Spritz / Prosecco in hand) then you’ll need some toe protecting shoes, so try some statement trainers like our metallic high tops. A swishy printed maxi skirt will look great as you cut your shapes by the speakers, just add some effortless cool with a slogan top. A crossbody satchel will give you handsfree dancing (ideal for holding that drink), and a straw hat and sunglasses combo is practical and stylish if you’re under the sun all day.
Absorbing All The Culture
If you’re festival circuit is an altogether more relaxed affair, then opt for a easy jumpsuit and denim jacket combo (and perhaps a lightweight knit knotted around your waist). Treat yourself to a pedicure and show your toes off in metallic sandals, and make a statement with some standout jewellery – a bold beaded necklace will set your outfit off. A sporty rucksack allows you to carry all your essentials (and any trinkets you pick up along the way) with ease.
